SALOMON KHAMMI
Salomon Khammi is a Colombian Canadian and American multidisciplinary artist based in Miami. His practice encompasses drawing on paper, acrylic and encaustic painting, and sculpture utilizing wood. Khammi's bold, linear style is informed by his architectural background and travels throughout South America, where he accompanied his father in the collection of pre-Colombian artifacts. He holds a degree in Architecture from Los Andes in Bogotá and a degree in Design from the Polytechnic Institute in Milan. Following his studies in Milan, circumstances in Colombia led him to relocate, eventually residing in Miami Beach, Philadelphia, and Toronto – cities whose architectural nuances he meticulously documented in his sketchbooks. Khammi's work has been exhibited in Canada, the United States, Germany, England and South Korea. He is currently represented by Spence Gallery in Toronto.
